Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled within the Afriqueen Assistance rencontre mobile app.
The App is a support service for members of the Afriqueen dating site. It is not itself a dating platform, and the information you share in the App is not used to build a public profile visible to other users.
For any question about your personal data, you can write to: contact@afriqueen.fr
1. Data that may be processed
Depending on how you use the App, the following data may be processed:
Conversations with the assistant
When you talk to the assistant, we process the messages and the information you choose to share. That information may relate to:
- your goals;
- your preferences;
- your experience of online dating;
- your profile on a dating platform;
- the way you communicate;
- a situation you are asking for advice about.
You remain free not to share any information you do not consider necessary.
Requests sent by email
When you write to contact@afriqueen.fr, we process your email address, the content of your request and any information you attach to your message.
Testimonials
The App may feature testimonials from people who have agreed to share their experience. The information a testimonial contains is used to present that experience to users of the App or the site.
2. Purposes of processing
Data is used in order to:
- reply to messages sent to the assistant;
- provide support suited to the needs and goals you express;
- give advice on profiles, photographs, presentation and communication;
- make recommendations about safety and privacy;
- answer requests sent to the contact address;
- publish testimonials where the people concerned have agreed to it;
- keep the service running and protected.
Conversations with the assistant are processed in order to deliver the service the user has asked for. Requests sent by email are processed in order to answer them. Publishing a testimonial rests on the agreement of the person concerned.
3. Sensitive information and third-party data
Conversations about dating and personal life may contain private or sensitive information. We recommend sharing only what is strictly necessary for the advice you are asking for.
When you mention another person, avoid sharing without need:
- their full name;
- their contact details;
- their address;
- their photographs;
- their private messages;
- any information that directly identifies them.
You must not share content about a third party where you are not entitled to do so.
4. Who receives the data
Data may be accessible to the people authorised to provide support, handle requests and keep the App running technically. It is not intended to be made visible to other users of the App.
A testimonial may, however, be made public where the person concerned has agreed to its publication.
Data may also be disclosed where a legal obligation requires it, or where a competent authority requests it under the conditions provided by law.
5. How long data is kept
Data is kept only for as long as is necessary:
- to provide the support requested;
- to follow up on the conversation;
- to handle a request sent by email;
- to protect the service;
- to comply with a legal obligation;
- to establish or defend a legal claim.
Once it is no longer necessary, data is deleted or anonymised.
You can ask for your data to be deleted by writing to: contact@afriqueen.fr
Deletion may be limited where certain information has to be kept to comply with a legal obligation or to defend a legal claim.
6. Security
Afriqueen takes reasonable measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
Access to data is limited to the people who need it in order to provide support, answer requests or run the service.
You should also protect access to your phone and avoid sharing unnecessarily confidential information in the App.
7. Your rights
Under the applicable regulations, you may request:
- access to the data concerning you;
- correction of inaccurate data;
- deletion of your data;
- restriction of its use;
- its portability where that right applies;
- to object to certain processing;
- to withdraw your consent where processing rests on it.
You can exercise your rights by writing to: contact@afriqueen.fr
Your request should state which right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your identity where that is necessary to prevent someone else accessing your data.
You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
8. Under-18s
The App is reserved exclusively for people aged 18 or over.
Afriqueen does not wish to collect data from minors. Where such a situation comes to our attention, appropriate steps are taken to delete the data concerned or to stop processing it.
9. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be amended to reflect changes to the App, to its features or to the regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
Where an important change affects how personal data is used, users are informed appropriately.
